Welcome students! The campus merchant program allows for additional student savings on your particular college campus. The Campus Merchant Program is a locally based, premium discount coupon program brought to you FREE of charge by our issuing bank partners and local merchants. Discounts range between $100 to $250 per coupon book. Student users receive the book entirely free of charge so long as they have a visa/mc card. Users are not required to use the visa/mc card. The CMP has received much positive press because it saves college students extra money over normal campus coupon books. Since 1989, we have saved 7,500,000 students 2.4 billion dollars. UCMS has the goal of saving students 3.25 billion dollars by 2000! How it works for students: At the beginning of the school year, students who possess a visa/mc are mailed the University of XYZ Student Saver Coupon Book. Students then bring these coupons to the merchants right on their campus. Student get discounts that are "better than average" from merchants. Typically, if a merchant offers $2.00 off a $10.00 purchase, our coupon book has an offer of $5.00 off a $10.00 purchase. How it works for merchants: What's good for students is bad for merchants?!… Absolutely not! Even though the discount is required to be higher, you get huge benefits. UCMS pays for distribution, lay-out, design and production of the coupon book. This exposes you to students that already have a visa/mc and are educated to be financially responsible students. Also, you do not need to accept visa/mc since students aren't even required to use their card to get a discount!
